WhatsApp's growth continues at pace, as its CEO has announced some new numbers showcasing the size of the popular messaging app. In a talk at DLD in Munich this week, CEO Jan Koum confirmed that WhatsApp now has:

• 430 million active users
• 30 million new users in the last month
• 50 billion messages processed daily
• 50 members of staff (20 of which are customer support)
